How do I do that : Get BOM on my Genus Head

Greetings Fellow SL Lovers!

So you are new to Second Life or have resisted the temptation to join everyone using BOM. BOM is short for Bakes on Mesh and allows you to apply system skins and tattoos to your mesh body and head. For this tutorial… I am applying BOM to my Genus Classic Head W001. The process is the same for any of the Genus Heads.

So first off. I went ahead and took off my already set up head. When you are not wearing BOM… this is how your skin fitted for BOM looks on your system head.

Cute huh? lol

Step 1 – Put on a system skin. (This must be created to wear with your Genus head)

This is a system skin I went and bought. I chose no brows as I wear different brows

Step 2 – Put on your Genus head, eyes, and jaws (Take off any alphas you are wearing)

Are we sexy yet?

As you can see… we are now half skin system face half Genus head that is gray/white. So why didn’t the skin apply to the head? Simple. You haven’t activated BOM yet!

Step 3 – Go buy the free BOM activator! (Here is the direct link : https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/GENUS-Project-Genus-Heads-BOM-Activated/18714536)

As you can see I bought it already

Unpack and add the activator

Step 4 – Click the Bakes on Mesh Activated and voila! Your head is now BOM!

P.S. – Don’t forget to put on the eyes alpha to hide the system eyes. (Only alpha you should wear)
